A: The simple way is that Hayward beats San José, as that alone will make San José the #4 seed. The slightly-less-simple but still simple way is that Hayward beats San Ramon, and San José loses to Modesto. Then, the Hayward/San Jose games does not have an effect on playoff seeding.
